A young Thai leader takes the One Young World stage against sexual violence

At One Young World 2018 in The Hague, Kamolnan Chearavanont joined the Young Leaders Against Sexual Violence initiative.

Kamolnan Chearavanont, Co-Founder & CEO of the Voices Foundation for Vulnerable Children, was invited to speak as one of the young leaders representing Thailand on the issue of sexual violence — The Young Leaders Against Sexual Violence (YLASV).

On stage she shared her perspective to inspire others and help society recognise how much sexual violence matters — especially for young people.

Through years of volunteering, the Voices team learned that stateless people are more vulnerable to abuse, rape and trafficking. Without nationality, their access to healthcare, education and work is limited, if it exists at all — which is why advocacy on sexual violence and statelessness go hand in hand for us.
